Climate action is already happening in our communities, the challenge is connecting people to it. 🌱
That was the spirit of our Big Night of Climate Action at Oodi, where 170 people filled the room on 2.9.2026, with even more joining online, to learn about local climate initiatives, meet others taking action, and discover ways to get involved.
Organised by Sustainability Community Finland, Helsinki Climate Hub and EU Climate Pact Ambassadors, the evening brought together voices from across Finland’s climate movement, from environmental organisations and activists to educators, policymakers and community organisers.
Our speakers shared different perspectives and inspiring experiences on climate action, while participating organisations introduced concrete opportunities for people to take part in their work. The message was clear: there are many ways to contribute, and collective action can start right where we live.

It was especially meaningful to hold this event in Finnish, creating space to connect with people beyond Finland’s international and English-speaking climate communities. 🇫🇮
One evening won't solve the climate crisis. But bringing 170 people together to learn, connect and find their own way into climate action is a pretty good place to start. There is already so much happening. Let’s keep building the connections that make it possible to do more together.
